TIL that photos of my car on the trailer matter more than the bill of lading
I shipped my Civic from Phoenix to Seattle two weeks ago and the dispatcher told me to take pics of all four sides right when they loaded it. I did it mostly to be annoying, took 12 shots on my phone at 7am while the driver waited. When the car showed up with a scraped rear bumper, the broker tried to say it was already there, but I sent the timestamped photos and they paid the $480 repair without a fight. My buddy skipped the photos on his move to Denver and got nothing. Does anyone else do the photo thing or is it just me?
