Quoted $1,100 to ship my Civic from Phoenix to Seattle, broker found a guy for $650 and the car showed up with 40 extra miles on it
Has anyone else had a carrier put surprise miles on their car during a cross country haul, or did I just get unlucky with this one?

I always figured the extra miles thing was just a myth drivers used to mess with people. Then my buddy's WRX showed up with 60 miles on it after a haul from Denver to Chicago and he had the app data to prove it. So yeah, you're not crazy, some of these cheap carriers are definitely taking your car for a joyride.
