Hot take: the guy at the U-Haul counter in Reno taught me more about car shipping than any quote site
I was picking up a trailer last week and the guy behind the counter, Marcus, asked where my car was headed. I said Phoenix and he laughed and said everyone booking online forgets the car sits at the terminal for days before it even gets loaded. He told me to always ask where the actual pickup spot is, because a "door to door" quote that dumps your car 40 miles out of town isn't door to door at all. So now I'm wondering, has anyone actually had a carrier show up right at their house, or is the terminal thing just how it always works?
