Can we talk about how many shops still don't use a torque wrench on lug nuts?
I saw a car come in last week with three warped rotors, and the owner said his last shop just used an impact gun to 'get them tight'. That's a $600 fix for something a $50 tool prevents. I've been using a click-type torque wrench set to spec for every wheel for 15 years, and I've never had a callback for vibration. How many of you actually take the extra 30 seconds per wheel to do it right?

Tell me about it! I watched a guy at a quick lube place just zip all the lugs on with an air gun and call it good last month. It makes me cringe every time. I even bought my own torque wrench for when I rotate my tires at home because I don't trust most shops. That extra minute per wheel saves so much headache and money down the road. It's just lazy not to do it right.
