Tried spot welding a rust hole with a copper spoon backing it, and it saved me 3 hours on a 2011 Civic
Client's quarter panel had a hole about the size of a quarter on his 2011 Civic, and I was dreading cutting and patching it until an old timer at the shop in Dayton showed me to hold a copper spoon behind the crater and build it up slow with 18 gauge wire. Has anyone else used this trick on thin panels, or do you just cut and patch every time?
