Spent $412 on a plumber in Grant Park who showed up 6 hours late, and I'm still mad about it
Last Tuesday my kitchen sink backed up so bad I had to bail water with a red solo cup at 7am. I called around at 8am and picked a plumber in Grant Park who quoted me $185 for a drain clear, pretty normal for Atlanta right? He says he'll be there between 12 and 2, so I take half a day off work. 2pm comes and goes, 4pm comes and goes, and this guy finally rolls up at 6:15pm. No call, no text, nothing until I left a second voicemail. Then he tells me the $185 quote was for 'a simple clog' and mine needs a hydro jet, so it's $412 and I need to decide right now. I was so tired and my cabinets were soaked, I just said fine. The actual snaking took him like 20 minutes. I think the whole late arrival thing is a tactic, they know you're desperate by then and won't argue about the price. Anyone got a plumber in the Decatur or Kirkwood area who actually shows up when they say?
