Saw a neighbor's gutter setup in Decatur that totally changed my mind
I was walking my dog near the East Lake area last Tuesday and saw a house with these weird, extra-wide gutters. I stopped to ask the guy about them because we've had so much rain. He said they're 6-inch K-style gutters and he put them in after his old ones overflowed and caused a $4k foundation leak. He showed me how the bigger size just handles the downpours way better, especially on his steep roof. I never even thought gutter size mattered that much. Anyone in ITP dealing with older homes tried switching to bigger gutters?

Seriously, bigger gutters just mean more leaves to clean out constantly.

My neighbor installed six-inch gutters last fall. He's only cleaned them once and we get tons of oak leaves. Maybe the problem isn't the size.
