Used to spend $40 a month mailing film rolls to New Mexico, now my backyard shots come out better
Back in 2009 I was shooting Saturn on a 4 inch reflector with a webcam taped to the eyepiece, and every decent shot meant mailing rolls to a lab in Roswell and waiting 11 days. Last night I stacked 600 frames of Jupiter in my driveway with a $90 planetary cam and had a pic before midnight. Anyone else find the new gear makes the old waiting game feel kind of silly?
