Picked the 8 inch dob over the used 6 inch SCT last month, and now I'm sitting here with a backyard full of clouds

What made you go with the dob over the SCT? I ask because I did the opposite last year and sometimes wonder if I got it backwards. The SCT is way easier to haul out for a quick look, but the dob should crush it on deep sky stuff when the sky finally clears. Are you mostly doing planets or hunting faint fuzzies? Curious if the size difference is actually worth the setup hassle for you.
