My dew heater failed during the lunar eclipse and ruined my whole shoot
It happened about a month ago during the partial eclipse. I was set up in my backyard, everything was going fine, and then my lens just fogged up completely. The cheap heater strip I bought online for $25 just stopped working halfway through. I tried wiping it with a cloth but it kept coming back, so I missed the entire maximum phase. Has anyone found a reliable brand for these things that won't quit on you?

Ugh that's the worst! Did you have a backup power source for it, or was it the strip itself that died?

My old surge protector lasted maybe two years. The actual strip just stopped working one day, no warning. I don't trust the cheap ones anymore.
