I keep seeing people call the Orion Nebula a 'galaxy' in comments
It's a nebula, a cloud of gas inside our own Milky Way, not a separate galaxy. This mix-up matters because it changes the whole scale of what you're looking at. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just being too picky?

Maybe @barbara967's buddy just really wanted it to be more interesting than a plain old star.
