I finally tried stacking photos from my phone camera for a star trail shot.

Used an app to take 200 shots over an hour in my backyard. The final image was just a blurry orange mess from light pollution. Anyone know a good spot near Cleveland for darker skies?

Honestly, I've had better luck just heading south towards the Cuyahoga Valley. The orange glow is still there, but it's a lot less messy.

Oh man, I feel your pain! I had the exact same orange blob problem last summer. What finally worked for me was driving out to the Medina County Park District, specifically the Allardale area. It's not perfect dark sky, but it's way better than the city glow. Getting even 30 minutes outside the main light dome makes a huge difference. Just check their hours because some gates close at dusk.
