Dropped $120 on a star tracker mount, my phone photos beat it easily
Last month I bought a used star tracker from a guy in Tucson thinking it would make my Milky Way shots magazine quality, but my $10 phone tripod and a 10 second exposure got sharper result because I never practiced aligning the polar scope and lost the whole moonless night fiddling with knobs.
