My uncle told me to buy a $12 rice cooker in 2019 instead of the $80 one, and I finally get why
My uncle Rick worked in restaurant kitchens for 20 years and when I moved into my first apartment in Austin he said just get the cheap one, the rice cooks the same. I rolled my eyes and bought a fancy fuzzy logic cooker with 12 settings, and it died after 14 months while his $12 one is still going strong at his house. What's the most expensive kitchen thing you bought that a cheap version would have done just as well?
