The Tuesday I pulled 4 dead mice out of one dryer and found a $20 bill in the lint trap
Last Tuesday was hands down the weirdest day I've had in 11 years fixing appliances. First call was a dryer in Garfield that wouldn't heat, and when I pulled the back panel 4 mice fell out onto the floor, stiff as boards. The homeowner just sighed and said 'that explains the smell.' Second call was a washer that kept stopping mid cycle, and the real problem was a $20 bill jammed in the drain pump, which I gave back to the guy and he tried to tip me with it. Then my 4pm no-showed, so I got home early for once and my wife asked if I got fired. Best part of the week though, I got a text the next morning from the mouse lady saying her dryer works and she baked me cookies. Has anyone else ever pulled cash out of a machine, and did the customer actually let you keep it?
