Showerthought: my parts jar hit 500 screws and I actually felt proud
I keep a big pickle jar on the bench for screws and bolts I pull off old units, and I counted it last Friday during a slow morning. 500 pieces exactly, which sounds dumb but it took me almost two years to get there. The reason it matters is I used to drive to the hardware store in Mesquite for a single 8-32 machine screw at least once a week. Now I dig through that jar and find one in maybe 30 seconds, and half the time it is the exact length I need. It is not a fancy system, just a jar and a habit, but it saves me real trips. Curious what you all keep around, and does anyone sort theirs or just toss it all in one container like me?
