Honestly, I used to fight every single stuck dryer drum bearing with a hammer and a pry bar

Tbh, after I cracked a Whirlpool front panel trying to force it last spring, I bought a $40 bearing puller kit. Now it takes five minutes and zero swearing. Anyone got a better trick for the ones that are really fused on?

Cracking that front panel sounds like a seriously expensive lesson.

My old boss showed me to hit the bearing race with a map gas torch for like ten seconds, just until it puffs a little smoke. That heat breaks the rust bond without cooking the shaft. Let it cool for a minute and it usually taps right off with a chisel. Saves so much time on the really crusty ones.
