I finally bought a $4 box of junk silverware at a flea market in Tulsa and almost tossed the best piece
I grabbed a beat up wooden box of mismatched forks and spoons for $4 at a flea market in Tulsa last month, mostly because the box itself looked old and sturdy. While wiping down the pieces at home, I noticed one small spoon had a tiny hand stamped mark I didn't recognize, so I looked it up and found out it was a Civil War era coin silver piece worth around $80. Now I'm hooked and want to know, what's the most random thing you almost threw out before finding out it was worth something?
