My grandpa told me to use a magnifying glass on old maps and I found a whole village that vanished.
He said the tiny place names on 1800s maps are usually wrong or hiding something, so I checked his 1857 county map with a lens and spotted 'New Birmingham' in Tennessee that's just a field now. Has anyone else found a ghost town this way on an old map?

that "hiding something" part is so real i found a whole mining camp that way on an 1880s map of colorado.
