Subbed vs dubbed for mob psycho, finally tried the dub after 5 years
I always swore by subs but gave the dub a shot last week and it hits different, the comedy timing lands way better in English. Does anyone else find certain shows just work better dubbed even if you normally hate it?

The thing is some dubs just get the vibe right when the original writing was already pretty western in style. Mob is a good example since the jokes are more about timing and tone than wordplay, so a solid dub can actually beat reading text at the bottom of the screen. Plus with comedy, if you're reading subs you're missing half the facial expressions and delivery, which kills the punchline before it even lands.
