Serious question, why do people keep calling every isekai a 'power fantasy' when 90% of them are just about some regular dude getting a second chance?

I noticed this after binging like 15 different isekai last season and only maybe 2 of them actually had the MC being super OP from the start, most of them were just about surviving in a new world, so where did this blanket label even come from and has anyone else noticed the same thing or am I just watching the wrong shows?

My buddy Mike counted 22 different isekai last year and literally 3 had any real power fantasy stuff.

Man I've been saying the same thing but nobody listens... my roommate last year swore up and down that every isekai was just another overpowered dude getting a harem but I found like 8 that were mostly about farming or cooking or just dealing with weird magic politics. @wilson.jana your buddy Mike sounds like he actually pays attention to the genre instead of just hating on it. Feels like people just see the poster art and assume it's all the same stuff from five years ago.
