Rant: my anime club got shut down after 3 months because nobody read the room reservation rules
Honestly, we had 14 people showing up every other Saturday at the community center in Akron, and it was going great until the coordinator told us we booked the room during their toddler story hour. Turns out the guy who set it up just picked a random time slot off the website without checking the schedule, and we got bumped to a tiny room with no projector. We tried moving to a library meeting room but they want $40 an hour, which none of us can cover. Now half the group just watches stuff alone at home and I'm stuck with a box of DVDs and no crew. Has anyone here moved a meetup to a bar or a pizza place and did it actually work out? I need ideas that don't cost a fortune.
