I gave anime review threads a shot and it paid off

I used to think review threads were just for critics and skipped them. After joining one for my favorite show, I found cool details I missed. What discussion format surprised you by being useful?

Ever notice how episode specific threads hit different than whole series reviews? Like digging into a single AOT battle thread shows all the animation shortcuts, but the season wrap up just talks overall hype. Both useful but for totally different reasons.

Totally get that. I used to skip video game forums too, but reading player tips really improved my gameplay. It's amazing what you can pick up from other fans.
