The old screw terminal habit that keeps biting new installers

I noticed a few younger guys on a job last month in Toledo trying to push 18 gauge wire into those newer push-in terminals on a panel. They were having a hard time getting a solid bite and I had to stop and show them the old trick of pre-twisting the strands. Those push-in connections are fine for solid wire but they hate stranded, and I've seen two service calls this year where a loose connection like that triggered a false alarm at 2 AM. I've been doing this since the late 90s and I still keep a small flathead in my pocket just to release and reseat those terminals. Has anyone else found a better way to make stranded wire work in those without soldering the tip?
