Caught off guard by how many clients forget their alarm codes after summer break
It's become a weekly thing to reset codes for families coming back from vacation.

How do you forget the code you use every single day?

Why does the brain dump stuff we rely on so much? It's like your memory decides routine actions don't need actual remembering. Maybe we're just wired to fail at the simple things sometimes.

Oh great, so now I get to wonder if my brain is just silently deciding which things to erase from my hard drive without asking first. My own memory is acting like a shady landlord, evicting important stuff just because I parked in the wrong spot that day. At this rate I'll forget my own name by Tuesday, but at least I'll be really good at forgetting, right?

Betty, I have to ask - is forgetting a gate code really on the same level as forgetting your kids name or something? It happens. You get distracted, you're carrying groceries, you're thinking about work. The brain just takes a shortcut and blanks out for a second. No need to turn it into a big mystery of human memory. Just check the sticky note on your phone case.
