Took apart two torque wrenches, the cheap one won for once
Had a Snap-on 3/8 digital that kept reading off by 4 ft-lbs on a main gearbox bolt last month. Picked up a $60 beam style from the truck stop in Phoenix just to double check. The beam one was dead on every time, the digital needed a new sensor cell that costs more than the cheap tool. Been using the beam style for all critical torques since. Anyone else trust the old school tools over the fancy ones?
