That clapped out DC-9 flap cable fight in Memphis took me 3 days
Everyone says you just follow the manual and the cable pulls right out. Total BS in my case. Found corrosion hidden inside the pulley bracket on the right wing, the cable was seized under the fairlead. Took me 3 days of pulling my hair out before I stopped blaming the new cable and looked at the guide. Has anyone else had a hidden corrosion spot eat up way more time than the actual fix?
