Heard a new hire call a rag a "shop towel" and I felt 90 years old
Last week a kid fresh out of A&P school asked me where we keep the torque wrenches and said "shop towel" instead of just rag, and I stood there like a fossil. When I started at a hangar in Bakersfield in 2002 it was rags, safety wire, and a clipboard, and now half the new guys come in with torque apps on their phones. Does anyone else feel like the vocabulary changed faster than the actual work did?
