Bought cheap safety wire pliers from harbor freight, returned them after one job
I always used the expensive snap-on ones my old mentor let me borrow. Figured the $25 pair would be fine for basic stuff. First job twisting wire on a 737 wheel hub, the locking mechanism slipped twice and the cutter nicked my glove. Walked back to the store the same afternoon. The guy at the counter asked if I wanted a replacement and I just said nah, I'll stick with what works. Been 6 months and I still think about that wasted trip. Anyone else burned on cheap tools that seemed fine on the shelf?
