I blew $70 on an air fryer cookbook that just tells me to shake the basket
I bought a glossy air fryer cookbook last month for $28 at a bookstore in Tulsa, plus another $42 on two more online because everyone in the reviews swore the recipes actually worked. Big mistake. Almost every single one of them is just chicken, fries, or salmon with salt and pepper, and half the pages tell me to shake the basket at the halfway point like I could not figure that out myself. The worst part is the cook times are way off for my machine, so I charred a batch of brussels sprouts that the book said would take 15 minutes at 400. I have gotten better results from free posts in this community in one afternoon than from 300 pages of that stack. Save your money and just write down what temps and times work for your own basket. What is the one recipe source you actually trust, or did you also get burned by a cookbook like I did?
