Threw $60 down the drain on an AI lawn mowing map tool
I got this app that was supposed to use AI to plan out the perfect mowing route for my yard, save time and battery. It asked me to draw my yard boundaries and mark every tree and flower bed, which took me like 45 minutes on a Sunday. The thing generated a route that bounced my mower off the same pine tree 12 times before it gave up and went in circles. I lost half a day watching it bump into stuff and had to finish the back yard with a push mower in the dark. The developer ghosted me when I asked for a refund, so $60 just gone. Has anyone actually found an AI yard tool that works on a normal suburban lot with a few obstacles?

Twelve times. That's brutal. I tried a lawn mapping app last spring and got the same nonsense. My robot mower spent an hour trying to chew through a garden hose. These tools just can't handle real yards with actual stuff in them. Stick with the boundary wire, man. It's boring but it works.
