Honestly, I set them to activate my office gear before calls. My monitor and speaker system turn on by themselves. Tbh, it saves me time and hassle every day. Ngl, it's one of the best additions to my setup.

Actually, the desk light was already mentioned. The real trick is setting a shutdown delay like dakotac56 said. It stops that phantom power drain from forgotten gear.

That's a smart move with the desk light, but have you thought about using the plugs for after meetings too? (like turning everything off with a delay to save power) It could help with a clean shutdown routine, which I always forget to do.
