Shoutout to my VCR for making old videos look right on new screens

I hooked it up to a capture card instead of using a direct transfer. The slight blur and color shift actually make it feel more authentic.

Exactly, that analog feel is everything. Clean transfers look sterile and wrong. Embrace the fuzz.

Oh nice, I did something like that last year. I ran some old home movies through my VCR into an old TV, then filmed that with my phone. Sounds weird but it kept that warm glow and the softer edges. Straight digital transfer just looks too clean and kinda ruins the vibe. That little bit of noise and color bleed is the whole point.
