Roasting frozen beans gives me a sweeter cup, am I wrong?

I keep my green beans in the freezer and put them right in the roaster while still cold. My coffee comes out way sweeter with less bitter notes this way. All my roasting buddies say you have to thaw them first, but I think they're missing out. Has anyone else done this or should I stop?

Are your roasting buddies just mad they didn't think of it first? I mean, if it works, who cares about thawing? Maybe they're jealous of your sweet coffee.

Honestly, this feels like one of those coffee things people overthink. If your coffee tastes good, just roll with it. Not sure we need to make a whole science project out of frozen beans.
