Polymers won me over once I saw the wear patterns

I always thought polymer frames were just for budget guns. After checking a few hundred rounds through a client's pistol, the lack of metal fatigue changed my view. Now I recommend them for daily carry.

Ever catch yourself being a total snob about gear you haven't even tested? I swore up and down that polymer was just cheap plastic until I put a thousand rounds through my friend's Glock. The slide was wearing out before the frame, which was a real wake-up call for my old school biases. Now I feel like the guy who finally admitted his beater car is more reliable than his garage queen.

Totally get the "beater car" feeling. I was the same with cheap utility knives until I burned through a whole pack of expensive blades in the time it took my helper to dull one of my "junk" ones.
