TIL that flat design feels too simple for some, but others love how clean it looks.

I got into graphic design by making logos for local events. One side says flat design is boring and lacks depth, but the other side praises its modern and easy-to-read style. Where do you stand on flat versus detailed designs?

Used to hate it but now I get the appeal.

Sometimes it's not the thing itself that changes, but how you see yourself. I used to dismiss stuff just to fit in with a certain crowd or vibe. That was mostly about my own insecurities and wanting to be accepted. Letting go of that need to judge lets you actually enjoy things for what they are. It's wild how much we miss out on when we're trying to be cool or follow trends. Real growth is liking what you like without apology, and that's when the appeal hits different.
