Took me two days to get a clean edge on a curved shower door panel
Had a job for a fancy bathroom remodel over in the West End. They wanted a big, curved shower door, like a half circle. I figured it would be a bit tricky, but not bad. Man, was I wrong. Getting that curve to cut clean on the 3/8 inch tempered glass was a nightmare. My standard glass cutter just kept chipping the edge, no matter how slow I went. I must have wasted three pieces of glass trying to get it right. Finally called up my buddy who does auto glass, and he told me to use a diamond wheel grinder with a water feed. That did the trick, but the whole thing took me two full workdays instead of the afternoon I planned. Anyone have a better method for cutting tight curves on thick glass?

Three pieces of glass? I would have lost my mind after the second one.

Read an article that said people who break things often feel a rush of guilt, then just get clumsy again. It's like your brain short circuits for a second. Makes the third piece of glass almost predictable.
