I wasted $200 on those fake grass mats for my front steps
Last spring I thought I was being smart covering my concrete front steps with those fake grass mats from Home Depot. They looked GREAT for about two weeks, then they started sliding around and trapping mud underneath. After a heavy rain they just got this nasty mildew smell no matter how much I hosed them off. Tried power washing them three times and they fell apart. By July I ripped them out and threw them in the trash. So I lost $200 AND had to scrub the green dye stains off my concrete. Has anyone else fallen for that "instant curb appeal" garbage?

My buddy Mike bought those once and his dog thought it was a bathroom.

i mean the thing nobody's talking about is how these things smell after they get wet once. @the_nathan your buddy mike shoulda just left them in the sun for a day, that cheap rubber stuff they use gets this weird funky mildew smell that never goes away. my cousin had a pair he left out in the rain by accident and a week later his whole garage reeked like a damp gym sock. they're fine if you keep them dry and indoors but god forbid you actually use them outside in real weather.
