My neighbor in Phoenix said his kimchi never gets bubbly, and I realized I was using the wrong jar
He showed me his setup with a simple airlock lid, and my old clamp-top crock was actually letting in too much air. Anyone have a good brand for those lids that won't leak?

My old crock leaked until I got the Easy Fermenter lid.

Totally get what you mean, @james_allen24. That lid was a game-changer for me too... stopped the constant mess on my counter. I love how the little pump lets you get all the air out without opening it. Makes the whole process way less stressful.
