My entire collection of fabric swatches got soaked in a basement flood
It happened three days ago after that huge storm hit. I had them all in labeled boxes on the floor, and about two inches of water came in. I spent the whole next day trying to dry them out on every flat surface in my house, but the colors bled and the textures are ruined. Has anyone managed to salvage something like this, or is it a total loss?

My own fabric disaster story involves a cat and a full glass of red wine, so maybe don't ask me.

Two inches of water is basically a fabric soup. At least you didn't have to factor in a cat for the full disaster cocktail. Once the colors start running, you're pretty much looking at a very expensive, sad art project. My condolences on the swatch funeral.
