That time a chemical peel went wrong on a bride the day before her wedding

I was working at a small spa in Austin about eight years ago. A client came in for a light peel, but I misread her chart and used a formula meant for much oilier skin. Her face got really red and started to peel almost right away. I had to call the owner, and we spent the next four hours doing calming masks and using a heavy cream to try and fix it. Has anyone else had a skin reaction happen right before a big event, and what did you do?

Wait, you said "actual nightmare" like it's happened before. I mean, did you really mess up a chart at work or something? That's honestly terrifying to think about. I'd be so stressed trying to explain that to my boss. Just picturing it makes me feel sick.
