Showerthought: My local library's new online system has me split

Last week, our library in Springfield switched to a totally digital checkout and reservation system. I mean, it's faster to get ebooks now, but my kid couldn't figure out how to browse the physical kids' section without the old paper catalog. Three years ago, they had those little paper slips in the card catalog drawers, which was a whole activity in itself. Is moving everything online better for access, or does it hurt learning how to actually find stuff in a real place?

My nephew learned the Dewey system in like two days.
