Hit 1000 downloads on my free HVAC safety guide and it's making me rethink everything

I put together a simple PDF about basic furnace venting and carbon monoxide risks for homeowners. Posted it on a local community board six months ago, thinking maybe a dozen people would grab it. Checked the stats yesterday and it's at 1,042 downloads. That number hit me hard because it means people are actually looking for this stuff, but the good info is buried or costs money. I made it free because I've seen the scary stuff people try to fix themselves. Is anyone else putting their job knowledge out there for free, or is that just giving away your value?

Honestly, giving away that basic guide got me way more paid work later.

That's a serious number of downloads. It makes me wonder, what kind of scary stuff did you see that pushed you to make the guide in the first place? Were there common mistakes you kept finding that homeowners just didn't know were dangerous?
