Found a free geology course that explains rock formations way better than my college textbook

I was trying to understand how hoodoos form for a camping trip in Utah and stumbled on this open course from a professor in Arizona. The animations alone made it click after 3 chapters of nothing. Anyone know where to find more courses like that with good visuals?

Cartoon version" of plate tectonics? That's actually the most brutal description of a free course I've ever heard, I'm dying.

Wait, you really found the animations that helpful? I mean I guess if you're a visual learner then sure, but for me those college textbooks with their dense text and diagrams are actually way more useful because they give you the real science behind it all. Those free courses with flashy animations just skim the surface most of the time. I did one on plate tectonics once and it was basically a cartoon version of what my textbook explained in three chapters. The textbooks might be dry but they don't leave out the important bits like erosion rates and chemical processes that actually explain how hoodoos get their weird shapes.
