The River Changed Course Overnight and So Did My Whole Week
We've been working the same stretch of the Meramec for three years now, no surprises. Last Tuesday I showed up and the current had carved a whole new channel through the sandbar we'd been pumping out. The depth finder was reading 4 feet deeper on the left side, and we had to re-anchor and replumb from scratch. It took us two full days to get the suction line back where it wasn't pulling air. Has anyone else had a river just decide to move overnight like that, or am I the only one chasing a spot that keeps running away from me?

Whoa, did the river move because of all that rain we had, or was it just a random shift?
