Cutterhead teeth wore out in 3 weeks, shop said it was my swing speed

Ran a job up near Green Bay clearing out a silted slip, maybe 40 hours of actual cutting. Pulled the cutterhead for inspection and the teeth look like they went through a rock tumbler. Shop foreman said I was swinging too fast and letting the head bounce instead of letting it bite. Never had that issue in 10 years running the same type of setup. Anyone else get told this? Should I drop down to a slower swing and just eat the longer cycle time, or is the foreman blowing smoke because they want to sell me harder teeth?
