Warning: That Stuck Toilet Flange Cost Me 11 Hours And A Saturday
Pulled the old toilet in my hall bath near Dayton and the flange was cracked clean through the slot, so the closet bolt spun free every time I tried to snug it down. I figured it was a 20 minute fix, but between cutting out the old ABS, gluing on a repair ring, and letting the wax set twice after a leak, I was on my knees till dark. If your flange sits below the tile line, just buy the spacer kit up front instead of stacking wax rings like I did. Anyone got a trick for holding a repair ring steady while the glue sets?
