Pro tip: stop using command strips for heavy monitor arms

I tried the cheap adhesive strips from the dollar store vs the 3M ones that cost $8 and the dollar store ones dropped my 27 inch monitor after 3 days, has anyone else had a close call with a falling screen?

Three dollars saved on adhesive and now you've got a cracked monitor and a hole in your drywall, thats about how most of my cheap shortcuts end up. It's funny how we'll spend hours finding a coupon but then skip spending five bucks on the thing that actually holds our stuff up.

Man that adhesive thing hit way too close to home, last month I used cheap double-sided tape to mount my router and woke up to it dangling by the cord and a chunk of paint missing from the wall.
