My brother in law told me to ditch zip ties for velcro straps and I owe him lunch now
He swung by my place in Boise last weekend and saw the rat's nest behind my monitor, like 14 cables all zip tied into one hard lump. He said zip ties lock you into one layout so you redo everything when you move a single thing, then handed me a $9 roll of velcro straps from the hardware store. Took me maybe 20 minutes to redo the whole run and now I can swap my webcam or add a drive without breaking out the cutters. Anyone else made this switch, and did you bother labeling the ends or just leave them naked?
