Blew $45 on a plastic monitor riser before admitting a free shelf works better
I grabbed a $45 plastic monitor riser from the office store on 8th because it looked clean, but the thing wobbled so bad my screen shook every time I typed. Swapped it out for a scrap pine board I found in my building's alley and stacked it on two cement blocks, and it's rock solid plus way more room underneath for the keyboard. So now I'm out 45 bucks and stuck with a plastic brick in my closet. Did anyone else buy their way into a problem that a trip to the alley would've solved for free?
